New Here?

We would love to welcome you to Chabad of North Phoenix.

Welcome to Chabad

Walking into a new Jewish community can sometimes feel intimidating. You may wonder: Will I know anyone? Will I know what to do? Do I need to be a member? Do I need to read Hebrew? Will I fit in?

At Chabad of North Phoenix, the answer is simple: come as you are.

Whether you grew up with a strong Jewish background, are just beginning to explore, recently moved to the area, are visiting for the first time, or are looking to reconnect with Jewish life, you are warmly welcome here.

What to Expect

Chabad is a place of warmth, sincerity, and Jewish connection. Our services and programs are traditional, meaningful, and welcoming to people of all backgrounds and levels of observance.

You do not need to know the prayers, read Hebrew, or have prior experience. If you are unsure of what to do, someone will be happy to help you feel comfortable.

Many people come to Chabad for different reasons: Shabbat services, holiday celebrations, Torah classes, Hebrew School, children’s programs, women’s events, community gatherings, or simply to speak with Rabbi Mendy or Leah. Wherever you are beginning, we are happy to help you find your place.

Do I Need to Be a Member?

No. Chabad of North Phoenix does not require membership to participate in services, programs, or pastoral support.

Voluntary donations are appreciated and help support the work of Chabad, but no one is turned away because of membership or affiliation. Every Jew belongs.

Coming for Shabbat?

Shabbat at Chabad is warm, meaningful, and community-focused. Join us for services, Torah, conversation, and a welcoming atmosphere.

If you are coming for the first time, feel free to reach out before Shabbat so we can answer any questions and help you feel comfortable when you arrive.

Can I Bring My Children?

Yes. Children and families are welcome at Chabad. We believe Jewish life should be joyful, warm, and meaningful for every age.

Chabad also offers Hebrew School, holiday programs, and children’s and family events throughout the year.

What Should I Wear?

There is no need to worry. People come in a range of styles, from more formal Shabbat clothing to more casual attire. We encourage modest and respectful dress, but most importantly, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable.
