Friendship Circle brings together volunteers, children, teens, young adults, and adults with special needs for friendship, inclusion, joy, and community.

A Program of Chabad of North Phoenix

Friendship Circle is a program of Chabad of North Phoenix, directed by Rabbi Mendy and Leah Levertov. It is built on a simple and powerful idea: every person deserves friendship, belonging, and the chance to be celebrated for who they are.

Through meaningful programs, social opportunities, volunteer involvement, and community events, Friendship Circle creates connections that enrich the lives of individuals with special needs, their families, teen and adult volunteers, and the broader Jewish community.

Whether you are a parent looking for programs, a teen or adult interested in volunteering, a young adult looking for community, or someone who wants to support inclusion, Friendship Circle welcomes you.

Friendship & Inclusion

Friendship Circle creates warm, meaningful opportunities for children, teens, young adults, and adults with special needs to connect, socialize, and feel included.

Teen Volunteers

Teen volunteers discover the power of friendship, responsibility, kindness, and inclusion by building real relationships and making a meaningful difference.

Adult Volunteers

Adults can also be part of the circle of friendship by volunteering, supporting programs, helping at events, and sharing their time and talents.

Family Support

Families find a caring community, meaningful programs, and the reassurance that their loved one is seen, valued, and loved.

Young Adult Programs

Friendship Circle offers meaningful opportunities for young adults with special needs to socialize, grow, gain skills, and connect with friends.

Community Events

Community programs and events, including Jonathan’s Walk, bring people together in a spirit of joy, acceptance, Jewish warmth, and inclusion.

Where Every Soul Shines

Friendship Circle is about more than programs. It is about seeing the beauty, dignity, and unique light in every person. It teaches our community that friendship is not a small thing — it can change a life.

Through Friendship Circle, children, teens, young adults, adults, volunteers, parents, and supporters all become part of a circle of kindness and belonging.
