Chabad – Lubavitch is considered to be the most dynamic force in Jewish life today.

What is Chabad-Lubavitch?
‘ChaBaD’ is a Hebrew acronym for Chochmah- wisdom, Binah – comprehension and Daat – knowledge. ‘Lubavitch’ – is the name of a town in White – Russia (Belarus) where the movement was based for more than a century and translates to mean ‘Town of love’.

Chabad- Lubavitch teaches understanding and recognition of the creator, the role and purpose of the creation and the importance of each creature. All of this is conveyed with the love and responsibility we have to every single Jew.

The movement is guided by the teachings of its seven leaders (“Rebbe’s”), beginning with Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, of righteous memory (1745-1812). These leaders expounded upon the most refined and delicate aspects of Jewish mysticism and law.  They personified the age-old Biblical qualities of piety and leadership and they concerned themselves not only with Chabad-Lubavitch, but also with the totality of Jewish life, spiritual and physical.

Motivated by a profound love for every Jew and spurred by boundless optimism and self-sacrifice, the seventh Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, set into motion a dazzling array of programs, services and institutions to serve every Jew. The Rebbe charged us with the mission of making the world conscious of the imminent redemption and to prepare an environment where this can be realized. Today 4,000 full-time emissary families apply 250 year-old principles and philosophy to direct more than 2,700 institutions (and a workforce that numbers in the tens of thousands) dedicated to the welfare of the Jewish people worldwide.

Chabad of North Phoenix

In 2005, Chabad of North Phoenix was founded with an over-arching vision. Although Jews may embrace many levels of observance in their personal lives, there should be a place for all Jews - no labels, no affiliations - to develop a sense of community, to enhance the experience of being Jewish, to learn and to have fun. With tolerance, sincerity and deeply rooted values, Chabad can help you find that Jewish Center in your heart.

Jewish faith rests on the firm bedrock of logic and intellect. Our tradition encourages us to inquire, to delve and to understand. With proper study and comprehension, we can transform the proverbial leap of faith into a stronger step of faith; we can turn blind faith into a seeing faith.

We believe that Jews are Jews, regardless of affiliation or personal level of observance. There is no charge for membership or pastoral services. Voluntary donations are appreciated but not required. All are welcome.

Chabad of North Phoenix is your Jewish Center. There’s palpable warmth at our synagogue services that melts away any embarrassment for those unfamiliar with, or new to, communal prayer. Everyone feels at home. Come feel for yourself the family atmosphere that makes our services such a delightful experience. Participate in any of the wide array of programs and activities that we host throughout the year and discover the joys of being a Jew. By celebrating with others you will discover a renewed sense of appreciation and interest in your wonderful heritage.

Hope to see you soon!
