Honor the memory of a loved one with a lasting dedication on the Chabad of North Phoenix Memorial Board.
The Yahrtzeit Memorial Board
A memorial board has been established at Chabad of North Phoenix as a dignified and lasting way to honor the memory of loved ones.
Our sages teach that one of the most meaningful ways to remember a loved one is through tzedakah, charity, given in their memory. A plaque on the memorial board keeps their memory present in the community and connects their legacy with ongoing Jewish life, prayer, learning, and mitzvahs.
Each plaque will remain on the memorial board in our synagogue and will be part of the ongoing spiritual life of the community.
Yahrtzeit Observances
Names inscribed on the memorial board will be remembered in the following ways:
- A yearly reminder can be sent before the yahrtzeit.
- If no family member is present to say Kaddish, Kaddish can be said on your behalf.
- The memorial light will be lit during the week of the yahrtzeit and during Yizkor days.
- The Kel Malei memorial prayer will be recited during Yizkor services.
